Terms of use
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Delhi School of Retail when you use delhischoolofretail.com. We've kept them as plain as we can. Please read them before you sign up or pay for anything.
1. Who we are
Delhi School of Retail is run by , . In these terms, "Delhi School of Retail", "we" and "us" mean the operator of this website. "You" means anyone who uses it: learners, employers and instructors.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- You sign in with Google. One account is for one person: don't share it or let anyone else take courses for you.
- Keep your details accurate, including the name you want on your certificates.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
3. Courses
Many courses are free. Some courses, and some practice-lab plans, are paid. The course page always says which, and shows the full price before you pay.
- Free courses stay free for as long as they're on the site.
- Paid courses: unless the course page says otherwise, you can use a paid course for 12 months from the day you buy it.
- We improve courses over time and may update, reorder or replace lessons. If we remove a paid course you bought less than 12 months ago, we'll give you a replacement course or a refund for the unused time.
- Courses are for learning. They aren't a government qualification unless the course page clearly says so.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in Indian rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes unless the course page says otherwise.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, a licensed payment gateway. You can pay with UPI, debit or credit card, net banking or wallets, as offered at checkout.
- We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login details. Razorpay handles them under its own security standards.
- Access starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. See Shipping and delivery.
- If a payment fails but money is taken from your account, it's either reversed by your bank or refunded by us. See Cancellation and refunds.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects something you've already paid for.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Our Cancellation and refund policy explains when you can get your money back, and how quickly.
6. Courses paid for by your employer
Employers can pay for course seats for their staff. You can ask yours from any paid course (“Ask my employer to pay for it”).
- A paid seat is for one person and can't be sold or passed on.
- If your employer paid for your seat, they can see your progress and completion in the courses they paid for.
- You never pay for a seat your employer paid for.
7. The practice lab
The practice lab lets you practise store work, such as billing, stockroom tasks, customer records and work emails, on practice copies of those tools.
- Everything in the lab is practice. It isn't connected to any real store, payment, stock or customer system, and no real money moves.
- Never enter real customer details, real passwords or real payment details in the lab. Use the sample data provided.
- Lab scores are feedback for your learning, not a certification of job performance.
8. Certificates, resumes and verification
- When you finish a course, you get a certificate with its own ID. Anyone who has the ID can check it on our verify page.
- We may cancel a certificate earned by cheating, for example by sharing an account or using automated tools. A cancelled certificate no longer verifies.
- Your resume is yours. You're responsible for making sure what you write is true. Anyone who has your Resume ID can view it, so share it only with people you choose.
9. Campus hiring
We introduce learners to employers who are hiring (see Campus hiring).
- We never charge learners for job introductions. If anyone asks you to pay for a job in our name, it's a scam. Please report it to us.
- We share a learner's details with an employer only after the learner agrees.
- We don't promise a job to any learner or a hire to any employer. Employers make their own hiring decisions and must follow the law.
10. What you must not do
- Copy, download, record, resell or share course videos and materials outside your own learning.
- Fake progress, quiz answers, XP or certificates, or try to get around how the site works.
- Harass anyone, impersonate anyone, or post anything unlawful, hateful or misleading.
- Try to break into the site, overload it, or collect other people's data from it.
11. Content and ownership
Courses, videos and materials belong to Delhi School of Retail or to the instructors who made them. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning. Instructors are responsible for their courses. If you find something wrong or harmful in a course, please tell us and we'll review it.
12. If something goes wrong
We work hard to keep the site running and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that a course will lead to a particular job or result.
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost earnings or lost opportunities. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.
13. Suspending or closing accounts
You can close your account at any time from the data protection page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. If we close an account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund any unused paid access.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a complaint, please contact our Grievance Officer first (below); most problems are solved quickly that way. If a dispute can't be settled, the courts in New Delhi will have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
15. Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell signed-in learners about important changes before they take effect. Changes never apply to purchases you've already made.
16. Contact and grievances
Questions about these terms: [email protected]. Complaints go to our Grievance Officer. We'll acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.
