Training for the people who run India’s stores
Delhi School of Retail teaches store associates, cashiers, supervisors and visual merchandisers the skills of the shop floor, in short Hinglish lessons you can finish on a break.
Why we exist
Millions of people work in Indian retail, from neighbourhood stores to national chains. Most get a few days of training on joining, and then learn the rest on the floor, often the hard way. Most training that does exist is long, in formal English, and made for offices rather than shop floors.
We make training that fits the job: short, practical, mobile-first and in the language people actually speak at work.
What we offer
- Courses. Short video lessons with quick quizzes on customer service, billing, store operations, visual merchandising, sales and store numbers. Many are free; some advanced courses are paid.
- Practice lab (coming soon). Practise billing, stockroom tasks, customer records and work emails on practice copies of real store tools, where mistakes cost nothing. See the practice lab.
- Certificates and resumes. Every finished course gives a certificate with an ID anyone can check, and learners can build a resume that lists them.
- For companies. Hire trained people through campus hiring, or pay for your team’s courses.
What we believe
- Free to start. Core courses are free. Employers can pay for paid courses, so their staff don’t have to.
- Short beats long. A 5-minute lesson you finish is worth more than a 90-minute course you don’t.
- Hinglish, where it helps. We teach the way people talk on the floor.
- Practice, not just theory. Every lesson should give you something to use on your next shift.
- Proof that counts. Certificates and resumes that employers can check in seconds.
How we make money
We earn from paid courses and practice-lab plans, from employers who pay for their teams’ courses, and from employers who hire through us. We never charge learners for job introductions, and we never sell anyone’s data.
Who runs Delhi School of Retail
